opera on the 6600

i have opera on my 6600 but i cant get it to work. no instructions. it does not connect to web but sits with the blue bar doing nothing. has anyone experienced this or am i doing something wrong.

Get "GPRS Internet Access Point" settings from your operator/carrier. GPRS WAP settings won't work (won't be enough).

Any decent operator should be able to send the settings to you as a text message, which you can just save; check their website or call their customer service number).

Then in Opera settings choose that access point & off you go.

Hi mate

One other thing......

Go to Opera's site and download the specific version for the 6600. I understand some phones were shipped with the 3650 version which gives mixed results.

Opera should work fine over GSM on the 6600 (mine does) but GPRS is always going to be preferable.

There are known issues with somes sites that Opera cannot access. Trying to get Webmail to work is doing my head in. Take a look at the forums - there's loads of good advice.

Cheers
