Hello everyone.
I intend on purchasing a P900 very soon and would like to be able to make the transition as... well, as painless as possible.
I currently have a Nokia 6600.
I have read Andrew Kendall's "Cleaning a P800" (http://www.andrewkendall.com/pages/misc/cleaningp800.php) and I was wondering if anyone has attempted to copy a Nokia 6600 contacts.cdb to a P900 😃
Theoretically... that ought to work... right? 😃
Or if you by any chance know of any other way that I may transfer my contacts and my messages from my 6600 to the P900.
Notes:
I can't bluetooth the address book over cause on Nokia 6600 you can't select all contacts and do a Send on all of them. You can only do this one by one and that would really take some time.
BTW, any daredevil out there wanna try this? 😃
I don't think the 6600 and the p900 use the same .cdb format. You can export your contacs from the 6600 and import them on the p900 with SmartvCard from Symbianware.
Or synchronise the 6600 with outlook, and then synchronise outlook with the P900 again.

Thanks, mate.
This application's worth every eurocent 😃

This is kind of a no go for me seeing as I don't have a BT adapter and one of the reasons I really want a P900 is its cradle 😃 (well, aside from the fact that it has... everything)
Anyone know about the messages?
I mean... ought it not work if I just copy the Mail folders over to the P900?
Any ideas, anyone? 😃
the regular old way would do the job...
move SMSs from your phone to the SIM, then put it in the P900, move eveything to phone, then do it several times (if you have the time) as I believe the maximum SMSs that SIMs can hold do not exceed 50!
well, that's one easy but long way 😉
That's one really long way...
Especially since I'm not really sure one can save mms messages on the sim.
And seeing as when I check used space it tells me that I have 1706 kB of messages, I think it would take a looong time 😃
