I've heard this is the best case available, and I think i'm going to get one but I have a question;

The case has a plastic covering over the front, so how effectively can you still use the joy stick??

Thanks

- and the keys are still functional, not too strong surface?

- have you got the krusell elton?

I cant decide between the krusell or the new nokia which seems to be designed to compete with the krusell.

All the buttons work fine yes!

And all the holes line up!

I would say the krussel is better than this for the fact that it offers 100% coverage of the phone where as it looks like the whole bottom half of the phone is open on the other one!😊

And the Green and Red buttons are covered on the nokia one!

I loved my Krussel on my 3650, but I have just bought one of these, they have one for the 6600 too.. It's even better than the russel, in my opinion.

It holds the phone on your belt like the krussel but leaves all the keys and screen exposed.
Not so bad on a 3650 when you can easily change a scratched screen, but not so easy with the 6600 I guess.

But still worth considering 😊

Will

Yeah that looks pretty good will, and at least it protects all the corners unlike the other nokia one.

I guess its a case (pun intended) of how much protection you need,i got the Krussel coz you can chuck it around and you know the whole phone is covered.

Dont the fingers that wrap around, get annoying catching on things etc?

not on the 3650 they don't, but they do look a bit closer on the 6600.

On the krussell I found the plastic did get annoying, after using my wifes 3650, which has no case, made my phone feel clumsy.

will

I agree,
I thought i would try to use the case at all times when i got it,
lasted about a day lol.

I hate cases coz like you said they are clumsy but for protection you gotta have it!😊

Any more thoughts on decent cases, I like the look of the Krusell one, but I have just bought a cheap case that has the hole cut out of the plastic and where the case slips the hole doesn't match up all the time and is very annoying.

I've just had a Krusell case delivered for my 6600, and although in the main all the holes line up (IR, camera, power button), the hole at the bottom of the phone for power and headset seems too far forward (I mainly use a Bluetooth Headset, so it's only the power that's a problem!) - the hole in the case is in the middle of the bottom of the case, whereas the power and headset connectors are towards the back of the 6600.

Does the leather soften a little over time, or am I going to have to remove it just to recharge it?

I dont know if the leather softens,as mine is still brand new in the drawer lol

If its that bad,ask for another one!

My one also covers the the charge socket slightly, but it is just a case of letting it stretch a bit, the plug does fit fine and allow me to charge. I am also glad the case is such a snug fit, the last one i had was so loose it moved evertime I tried to use the joystick and got in the way.

There are two versions of Krusell case. Older/better and newer/worse

old: http://www.krusell.se/product.php?s=2&product=857
new: http://www.krusell.se/product.php?s=2&product=1705

Old have properly aglined (new have misaglined by 0,5 cm) window for infrared revc/sender in phone and better (oval, not round) hole for joystick. New had plastic on IR window.. but..

In summary If you can - try to buy old (82150) one instead of new (86144). I'm trying desperatly to find old one in my country.

Firstly: sorry for my post, It will not help you, you already have Krusell case..
Secondly: It seems that you have "a lemon" - badly made case, try to exchange it
Thirstly: I have to rephrase my previous post to make it clear.

There are two versions of Krusell case. For Nokia 6600 older one is better and newer one is worse.

older: http://www.krusell.se/product.php?s=2&product=857
newer: http://www.krusell.se/product.php?s=2&product=1705

Old one (82150) have almost properly aglined window for infrared revc/sender in phone and better (oval) hole for joystick.

New one (86144) had plastic on IR window - but it's seriously (at least in my case) misaglined (by 0,5 cm), and round hole for joystick - that will cause some problems with dirt particles going between case and phone

In summary - in my opinoon
case 82150 should be used ONLY with Nokia 6600 (but it's hardly avail)
case 86144 should be used ONLY with Nokia 6620, not for 6600 AND 6620

becouse of slighty diffrent desing of phones (diffrent angle of phone case near joystick)

6600 user: If you can - try to buy old case (82150) one instead of new (86144).
6620 user: buy new (86144) case, it will fit your phone better.

PS. I'm trying desperatly to find old one (82150) in my country for myself..

Ah, thanks for this - interestingly, I do have the older case (based on the Krusell website, I have no plastic on the IR, and based on the shape of the speaker hole and the joystick hole) - in fact, having seen the new case, I think the one I have looks nicer! 😊

Thanks - this seems to confirm my case is correctly made (I can't see how it could have been made incorrectly being such a tight fit) and obviously when the phone actually needs charging I'll try it out.
