NOKIA 6600 games question

4 replies · 1,628 views · Started 24 March 2004

Are there ways to make incompatible games to work in the 6600?

It depends on what you mean.

Incompatible games created for old Commodore 64, Sinclair Spectrum computers, or Nintendo GameBoy/GameBoy Colour, etc. can be run on the 6600 with so called emulators (Frodo, GoBoy, etc.) that emulate those machines.

If you mean a game written for another Series 60 device (like the Siemens SX1) that doesn't work on the 6600, then the answer is: You must contact the game developer to ask for a new, more compatible version.

If you're after something else, please explain.

somewhat like that.

like java games that work in the nokia 7650,
but just hang in the 6600.

Is there an 'emulator' for the 7650 for the 6600?

Is this due to downward compatibility?

Thanks.
