Has anyone who has ETI Camcorder PRO for N6600 can tell me if the phone light goes off after recording 15-20 seconds?If yes any solutions?

I've been waiting for an unlimited time recording program for the 6600 for two months now 😃
REALIS the trial version that i have requires a reg code, which i don't have. I m trying to purchase ETI from http://my-symbian.com but the product is unavailable for the moment. I m going to buy it. Any1 knows if there are any known bugs in the PRO version (not the trial one)? <e.g audio-video sync,audio fading after some secs,e.t.c???????????????>

I'd heard rumors about a beta for N6600 but I can't seem to find anything about ETI Camcorder for 6600 being released...
But isn't that the version that doesn't work on the 6600?
And I see no separate file for the 6600.

If its not in the shop the developers have removed,they must have their reasons.
the software will work but you have to turn the sound off

Guys all these programms you are talking about just DON'T WORK in Nokia 6600, and if they do - they don't function properly -and cause probs to the mobile!!! (adamdr, i found it in there but the version unfortunatelly doesn't support sound...i 'd rather buying it whenever i found it!!)
Is there any site that we can PURCHASE the ORIGINAL version of ETI Cam??(unless if the original software has bugs too,that's why they have withdrawn it.....)

Well... first of all I thought you were talking about an official ETI Camcorder release or beta for the N6600.
You can buy the application, of course. But there isn't a N6600 version yet so... sorry.

Of course i m talking about the official release, and i m going to buy it whenever it shows up for N6600. But i wanted to know HOW the programm works that's why i downloaded a cracked version, but WITHOUT SOUND!!(and i don't know what other probs i may face...)

For now i'll put up with the soundless 7650 version. But when the 6600 revision comes out i'll get that. Why pay for something that doesn't work anyway. People are free to make the choice to break the law or not!

The thing is REALIS that previous versions of ETI don't work on N6600 (to be true, they work but only with the sound OFF!!, so it's like having a girlfriend but without sex...). I know ETI works w/o sound. And you put the way we feel about this problem so well 😃.
The answer is: nope; not yet.
There's gotta be an update to one of these programs soon because I'm actually really considering (and will probably go through with it) switching to a P900.

Read somewhere on another forum that there is a way to remove the time/size restriction on the standard camcorder sw that comes with 6600. I could not find any info on this so far... sorry.
Looks like we have to wait a while for camcorders sw to catch up.

VAMP. ETI Camcorder works on 6600 (i have it), but you have to put up with no sound and bad video playback!sorry....If there is a way to remove time/size restrition from the built in cam it would be GREAT!!Any1 who knows smth just post it!

Ya... I did that too. After a while, the "no sound" and "bad Playback" PLUS slow camera viewer response irriated me too much that I removed it.

I downloaded the trial version of the camcorder, and after I figured out that it wouldn't work, want to remove it. The problem is, I can't remove it from my phone with the App Manager.

Eti records separatly picture and voice, sound (*.ear) file is *.amr and can be played in Nokia Multimedia Player but video (*.eye) is new codec of mpeg and it mast be downloaded from producer site, when you do this it is posible to watch clips on PC and convert it in Windows version, and then concert with VirtualDub in Divx, and finaly share with your friends. It is simple.
Problem is that thic camcorder records video files in variable birate, this can be a anoing when you try to join cuple clips togther.

I have the ETI Camcorder working well on my new firmware 6600. Unlimited time with full sound. The only tiny annoying bit is that the back light goes off after about 15 secs, so recording at night can be a bit difficult. Otherwise it works very well 😊
