Pocket Kingdom & N-Gage

I've read about some news about Pocket Kingdom and it really impress me. It is a realle big thing for mobile devices. It was my dream to play muliplayer games outside my home when i first touched my Sinclair Spectrum ZX. I was 7 or 8 and i was playing Space Invaders ; and when I went to school I always dreamed about taking the game with me with a computer that fits to my pocket and fight with my friends somehow in the game. Later I understand it was a dream of multiplayer option for games and it will be the future of the game industry, but for me it was a childish dream at that times 😊.
And back to the topic from memories... I think Pocket Kingdom will be the game that N-Gage will show it's multiplayer power, and that it was not same thing with the GameBoy,GameBoyColor or GBA. When i saw the Players: 1-thousands with N-Gage Arena specification in N-Gage official Homepage my eyes shined like a star and after that time i am waiting for this game to be released.
I think this game will be a little bit revolution for mobile gaming world. And i again think after this game and other mobile massive multiplayer game releases, any device can be very successful without wireless multiplayer options.
What do you think about this?

Pffffff Star wars Galaxies...

DARK AGE OF CAMELOT is THE mmorpg!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

MMORPG stands for massively multiplayer online role-playing game. In an MMORPG, thousands of players exist in the same game world at the same time. This creates an incredibly rich and active environment in which interesting things are constantly taking place. MMORPGs provide thousands of hours of game play, with a nearly infinite variety of goals to achieve across a vast world covering miles of land and sea.

World of Warcraft is a MMORPG too. For World of Warcraft, we will also be adding new content on a regular basis, thus ensuring that there will always be new adventures, new locations, new creatures, and new items to discover. In World of Warcraft, thousands of players will have the opportunity to adventure together in an enormous, persistent game world, forming friendships, slaying monsters, and engaging in epic quests that can span days, weeks, or even months.

Dark Age Camelot is also a MMORPG which is based on the legend of King Arthur, Viking mythology and Celtic lore. And it is a very fast growing game...

Maybe someday we will play these games on our mobile devices. Maybe while we are going somewhere by bus, we will fight for the King in a great battle. 😃 I can't wait until then, but what can I do ????....!!!...

yeah if i fight for king in a great battle on my mobile device somewhere on a bus i would probably be beheaded before i even open my mobile 😊

ok, so daoc 😊 is pretty cool, i have to admit. but being that i'm an everquest fan, i would like to state that everquest is also an awesome mmorpg 😃 . And what they are showing for everquest 2, WOW.

ok, now that i've said all that, this game looks amazing. I just want to know if anyone knows if it is ptp (pay to play)? If it is, :frown: it will be the one downside to it. It will stop people from playing it.

I've heard nothing about ptp for this game. And also I think that Nokia won't do such a thing for because of being the first mmo game in N-Gage. They want people play this game, if it success' maybe later games could be ptp.

Indeed - I hink the game will be bought as normal, playable on your machien standalone, but you'll need to pay the GPRS cost through your network to get the the Nokia Arena for the online stuff.

people will make service providers happy because of the bills 😊 but i think it will worth..

The game looks great but how much is the GPRS? And will you need that to play the game online?

You can get some pretty good deals now, where you 'buy' say 10 mb of downloads and that is the most u can use, everything after that is extra, but i think to play this game a lot will cost a lot (unless u play it a lot when u r home and use ur home internet connection0

Is it possible to use GPRS on pay as you go (Sorry i'm hardly a phone person) and if so how much would it be then because i don't think you can get the say buy 10mb monthly.

T-mobile now offer free ulmited GPR wit it'spay as u go plan.

If you connect to your computer using blue tooth will you then be able to use your own internet connection instead of using GPRS for things like n-gage arena and pocket kingdom?

Haven't tested it,but it should work.

My provider is either giving me free GPRS or they 'forgot' to set the billing flag when they set it up, therefore I am playing WOW on the mobile for lack of a dialup or broadband.

Its very playable, but there is lag between actions on my part, ie casting spells, and the event happening. Am assuming this is the nature of the beast, but anyone got any ideas on optimisation?
