first of all n-gage 2 is still a rumor and not necesarily true

second of all thats how all handheld devices are take a look at nitendo:gameboy to gameboy color to gameboy advance to gameboy advance sp

third of all i dont blame nokia for they also have been doin it with all their phones not just the n-gage

fourth of all it will probably be backward compatible so ur n-gage will work fine without any trouble so dont woorrry

calm down man and no need to send a petition to nokia or anything

and besides u really think nokia is gonna abadon their so called rumored n-gage2 just because some ppl might get angry
i dont think so

They are not saying Nokia should abandon N-Gage2 but give a upgrade program for N-Gage(1) users.

I will sign the petition.

If they marketed the N-Gage as a mobile phone that plays games and not a gaming console a one year life span would've been just fine. What's the average life span of a gaming console(any)?

BTW:The N-Gage is great but it steel feels a little beta and even if i don't own one(My brother does,i use it more then he does though 😉) i feel like a tester.I find new bugs daily.Yesterday i made arround 8 new(very important) calendar entries, when i got home i found out there was none.

Would a free upgrade bother you that much?

It means to trade in a N-Gage 1 for an N-Gage 2... just like you would do when the PS2 came out. Some stores would let you bring in your PS1 and use it as a trade in towards the purchase of the PS2, which seems extremely fair since the N-Gage is a gaming console.

Havent had chance to read it myself but if thats what its concerning, then im signing it!

Not sure how your countries work, but do your countries allow you to trade in your old phones when you buy new ones? Singapore does, so almost everyone trades in their old ones when they buy new phones.
I wouldn't mind if Nokia rewarded N-Gage and QD owners for their faith by giving them perks when they trade it in for the N-gage 2, say higher trade in values or a free game or something 😉
