Ngage got boring

I have the Ngage, i loved it at first but now i am tired of it. i looked pretty dumb talking on it in public, and when i use my BT headset i get as many odd looks. i have completed all the games i wanted to, and no new games kinda pisses me off. anyways what i am getting at, is its time for me to move on.

If you feel its time, then its time.

I don't care how people look at me when i talk on the N-Gage and i still have fun with it,watching movies(mostly Friends),listening to music(mostly DnB Live Dj sets) and of course playing games.

Are you going to sell it?

I too had an n gage, and after three or four months i sold it to get the 6600, although its still not the perfect phone (nokia don't seem to want to make a phone without at least one missing feature) i find it alot better than the n gage.

I had the 6600 and i didn't like it,too buggy,loads of third party doesn't work with it,no stereo output,no unlimited video recording etc etc.Themes are nice though.BTW:The 7610 is comming soon,so i wouldn't buy a 6600 right now.

i sold mine for 150, bought a hp ipaq 1940 for 185. Never regretted it, age of empires, anthelion, warfare incorporated and morphgear (emulator that can play megadrive, snes, nes, master system, gameboy, colour, advance, turbographx and 1 more that i can;t remember) are way better than the 11 (?) games on ngage. Plus media player is wicked, the screen is great and the touchscreen is wicked. Plus you can buy loads more add on stuff. I've gone back to my trusty old 3650 now.

You sold an n gage for 150?, did it have lots of accessories with it, because you can buy it new for that

Ive kinda reached that point. I no longer have movies on my ngage or play on any of my games. All i do is listen to my mp3s on the bus and make phone calls.

So i broguht me an NEC E313 yesterday. Finally got a camera again, with both picture and video messaging. After having it one day its already broken! LOL! So im back to using me N-Gage again.

SAbz

I don't like those 3g phones, too big and chunky for my likeing, although i did have an n gage, and that is pretty big compared to some phones. And i love symbian os, or is the NEC E313 symbian, i dont think it is. Anyway mabey you and your n-nage are meant to be, could it be fate?

even though you do not recomment it ghostdog i think i may go for the 6600. has all that i am looking for. i go thru phones so much, i am sure i'll end up getting the 7610 at one time or another

I sold my 3650 today as well, for the same price. I sold it (the ngage) to a friend, not ont the internet and it came with the tomb raider (Which i got for free) and a 32 mb card. The 3650 came with the 16mb card i got with it. Pretty good deal for me i think.

Well, I just got me a Nokia N-Gage dirt cheap (8 with a one year plan - 8 a month) two days ago, and so far I must admit I'm pleasantly surprised. Software is rock solid. Lots of free RAM. Buttons are good. The unit itself is not too heavy, and it's quite thin. Games such as Rayman 3 really shows just how good a game deck the N-Gage can be. Graphics and gameplay is awesome in that game (all credit to Gameloft). Battery life is much better than I first thought it would be. The only thing I'm not happy with is the sound. It's loud enough (too loud), but very unnatural/metallic sounding through the loudspeaker. The sound quality is really disappointing, especially compared to my P900. Oh, and of course, that brings me to another issue; how the hell could Nokia not have placed separate sound control button(s) on the unit?!

Anyway, back to the topic. I don't see myself getting bored with it in the near future with so many games to try out and new ones to come, and a 256MB MMC coming in the mail. I'll probably hold on to the N-Gage and use it as my main device till the new Communicator is out. My P900 is for sale now while I still can get a pretty penny for it. I'll certainly miss the big touchscreen for navigation, text input, browsing and reading eBooks though.

I would never have considered the N-Gage before, but being able to get a Symbian phone that is also a game deck, MP3 player and a radio for 8 was a no-brainer. 😊

nah i live in england.

also ghostdog, i am taking back my statement from before and going to take your advice, the 7610 looks like a solid phone with all that i am looking for.

i just have one question, i see it take reduced MMC's are those compatable with the regular MMC's?

Hey Raven, welcome to the club.I was so impressed with my brothers N-Gage i will be probably geting one for my self too, until that 9500 is released 😊

jaybadass, the 7610 comes with a RS MMC adapter which enables the RS MMC to be read by a regular MMC reader but you can't use regular MMC's in the 7610.

im not alone. havent been here in awhile cause i traded mine in for a motorola a760. that bored me too so i got a clie nz90. lots more fun
