my P800 and 3 (3G) SIM

Hi there, been a while since I visited here. Anyway, I have the P800, which is an excellent phone/pda. I have signed up to 3 in the UK thinking that the SIM would work on the P800 but it doesn't. I know it's a long shot but is there a way of getting it to work?
An alternative would be the P900 if it works, anybody here know if it would work?
What other handset alternatives is there? Size is important to so I've excluded Motoroala A925 and besides Motorolas are crap. Having read the news here, I see there are a few on the way but I don't know when it will be before I can try one of those.
Anyway, thanks in advance.

Sorry, but neither the P800 or P900 is a 3G phone. They would require a UMTS chip and there is no way that will happen as an upgrade. Out of the phone's currently on the market, the A920\A925 is closest to the Px00 as it is a Symbian\UIQ device. I notice the Nokia 7600 is also 3G compatible but don't know much about it.

I know what you mean but from what's going around, there are certain GSM phones that work with 3 sim cards. I only need to make voice calls and GPRS. I do not need 3G feature yet. As far as I know, 3 UK uses o2 network on GSM if no 3G signal is received.

Ah, well then that comes down to your 3 Sim card, not the phone. In theory, any 3 Sim that's GSM enabled should work in any GSM phone. However, from what I've heard from other users, 3's Sims don't seem to work the way they're supposed to.
