Whenever i open my inbox to read my text messages, my messaging application will closed with the message of app closed MCE ! Does anyone also have the same problem? Is it a bug or a software defect? How do you fix it?

😡 The same problem ocurred to me. someone said this can be fixed by clearing the phone record. but I don't like this method,I'd like to keep them.
another way is expected!
It's said that the problem can be solved by change another sim card, then you can go into the inbox, and change yours back, everything will be ok.

I had this once. It was mobipocket trying to open a file then deciding to exit badly. The rest of my messaging system seemed to work ok. Make sure you don't have too many handlers installer for things you get to your inbox. Switching to a new SIM card sounds a little strange. You could probably get the results going to message settings and switching it back and forth between phone memory and mmc. If you can't get to that setting (which it sounds like you can't) you MAY be able to do a backup of your phone memory to your mmc w/ the memory application then restore it or format and restore (I'd save any existing backup w/ a card reader first).

I have nokia 6600 happens the same thing. And its only if I use messages.
My friend suggested to send it to Nokia center to Update or Upgrade software. Apparently some people did it and it worked fine.
Well need to call them up.

If MCE doesn't crash often,when it crashes a restart is enough.
I MEET THE problem,i reinstall my input language (i'm chinese),and cleared the rubbish file in my c:\ to make the free space more than 2m,the problem salved!
Yeah, I got the same issue and found that if I cleared the old messages from the log it freed up enough space and no more error

Reason for crashing? Only one! SOMETHING YOU'VE ISTALLED!!
1) U can uninstall BAD application or...
2) U can (the most safe sol.) reset to factory settings
Don't find any other reason for crashing apps.

hi guys, i jz got d same prob too. but i cleared d log records n its working fine again. changing another sim card is d same process too, coz changing a sim card automatially erase d log records.
