How to obtain the backup file for 7650 — Nokia 7650

My 7650 is lost , I have backup my data to the PC before that. How do I go about retrieving those datas without getting another 7650, cos I intent to get a P900?

The backup files are stored in *.dat files. Read the filestore.dat.txt file, this will tell you which file is which. Re-name the files from *.dat to *.cdb, *.jpg, *.mid etc, once this has been done the files can then be viewed (if you have a program which can view the files?).

This is also a good way of backing up your JAVA apps, Depending on the DRM.

The next question is how to put them on to the P900!?

For the contacts and calendar info, its easyest to use your data from outlook, if you have it. Rather than the info stored in the back up.
