Gents, here is the problem:
I put my newly bought P900 CD PC Suite in my Sony laptop, got everything installed and this is what I see:
Link Properties: tick at USB port 4 but status not connected
When putting phone on port, light comes on.
Then link properties show the phone is connected.
Phone Monitoring Options: Nothing is detected...
Com Ports: Status: Disables, Reserved: No
Phone setting: Cables as recommended at Help:
PC Connect, Baud Rate: 460 800, Parity: None, Stop bits: 1, Character Length: 8, Flow Control: CTS
Can someone let me know if everything is right or what else can I do? Is my NEW phone and software out of order already???

do you have the little p900 icon shows up ?? on the systray ??
or else try to use PC File Manager from Symbianware
No there is no P900 icon at the systray...only a 2 arrows cables and when I put the fone down on the tray, it moves and shows USB connected.
What PC file manager do you mean? I think really I didn't configure it right...
Did you install the cd, then that's it???? Everything ready?
yep the default setting should work without changing anything
try changing to other USB ports (plug the USB sync station to other ports on your PC)
but at the moment i don't know what is the problem i can't browse my p900 via the explorer but i got the p900 icon next to the 2 arrows stuff

THanks! I had to format the whole PC and reinstalled everything...THe problem was:
I have a firewall and when i 1st trying installing it, it requested for auth thr firewall but I refused as I was online at the same time and thought it was some dogy website...
Then whenever I reinstalled the CD, it never asked me again..........
So i said yes to all firewall questions this time and straight fine!!!!!
