I'm always in situation where I have very low battery, and going out shortly so want to run it down quickly so I can re-charge first...
Are there any battery intensive applications or ones designed specifically to eat up the battery life to help me with this?
Torch ought to kill your battery 😃

Why do you need to run it out before recharging? Just plug it in and recharge. These batteries do not need to be completely discharged before recharging.
Really? I wasn't aware of this can anyone confirm?

The 6600 uses a Lithium ion battery which has no memory and in fact will last longer if you keep it charged as much as you can only discharging every once in a while.
Thanks for this information loGan.
hehe, phone sold seperatly😊
My brother has a 6600 and so do I, but his battery lasts longer than mine. Even when I don't use bluetooth I find myself charging after a couple of days while he can have it on for several days. How long do you guys usually have it turned on before you have to recharge?
Hi,
How long your batteries last depends on your usage pattern. For example, how often you turn on bluetooth for file transfer or earpiece, whether you use screensaver programs, whether you use "Animated" wallpaper, Music/Video playing, talktime, active programs in the background etc....
You may want to compare notes with your brother on the difference in usage pattern. Other possible causes may be faulty HP/batteries/chargers....
Mikademius: 2 days max. If I listen to lots of music or record a conference or something I have to recharge in 24 h. 😞
After I removed my screensaver program, my max usage is 2 days with quite a bit of talktime.
If I use BT to backup and setup programs, 1 day or less.

Each 48 hours i do recharge. With 9210 24 or 48 h 😊
Batteries are all the same. I had 3 N6600 and I bought also an extra battery. All last the same ! 😊
They have to make a long-lasting battery, like with PDAs for example. 850 mAh sold with the phone, and let's say 1250 mAh sold separately.
