Easy,

First off install the Pc suite, You will then need to install the 2000 & XP IrDA drivers. They are located in the start menu folder. Start > All Programs > Pc Suite > IrDA drivers for 2000 & XP.

This will give the IrDA port a com number, this can be obtained from the device manager. Select this port in the connection icon in the system tray.

You also might wanna lower the IrDA speed in the IrDA's device propteries. Also in device manager. Change it to 115200 or 115.2.

Now just activate the Ir on the communicator and point it at the Pc's Ir port.

The icon in the system tray will now animate, then go Blue & Green. You are now connected!!

Didn't work for me since i bought my serialport-less notebook... IRDA & XP.... never work for me no matter what suggestions people had put to me...

I have done all of this but since the laptop does not have a com port the connection is unstable 😞 . So no more xp 4 me 😉
