Hi all,
As some of you will probably know, yesterday, remcokatz decided to set up SymbianThemes.net - and many (including myself) thought it was a really unoriginal name due to my site, SymbianThemes.com.
After a long discussion with remcokatz, it has been decided that his theme site will be set up at a different address (possibly 6600netherlands.com or .net), whereas I will be maintaining SymbianThemes.net (although remcokatz will still be the owner of said domain - and he will be acknowledged on ST.net).
What does this mean? It means that SymbianThemes.net will be part of SymbianThemes.com, and will be used to provide theme related information, such as guides and tutorials, though not theme downloads, as they will stay with SymbianThemes.com.
What do you think to SymbianThemes.net being used as a place to have tutorials etc? Feedback appreciated.
Cheers
Why not use symbianthemes.net to redirect to the .com?
Yeah, redirect the URL to your site. Alternativly buy the domain from him.
I think a seperate instructional site (would be very handy to pass on info and ideas) and a downloads site is a very good idea. One does not clutter up the other with the "wrong" information, keeping it seperate and as such each sites traffic will be kept seperate. Each site should be linked prominently from the other.
Just my thoughts.
Everything that has been said in the last posts from other users has allready been discussed by j2k and me! And we think that this is the best solution!
About my new doman: The name isn't sure yet so stay tuned for an update!
why not something like a programming tutorial web site ? it could be cool
Because that's not really got anything related to the domain 'symbianthemes.net' - and for programming tutorials, http://www.newlc.com is a great site.
