I bought a sim-free 3650 last summer. It had to go in for repair (under warranty), but they could not fix the problem so they exchanged it for a T-Mobile one, as this was all they had in stock. I can use my sim ok (since I'm a T-Mobile customer), but the phone is cluttered with undeletable, unwanted operator detritus (wap-links etc.). The store have pledged to unlock the phone after the Easter holidays.
:? Does this mean I'll able to delete the embedded information? And if I initiate a factory reset, will it re-appear on my handset? :?
Unlocking
If you ask them for format the unit and install generic software into the handset this sould wipe out any unwanted clutter.
