Hardware Failure: restart camera — Nokia 7650 — All About Symbian Forum Archive

I have a 7650 and had an IR remote control app installed on it that didn't work very well so I deleted it but after uninstalling it, I can no longer use the camera. Everytime I try to start the camera application, I get an error Hardware Failure: Restart Camera. I tryed to hard reset it with the *#7370# code but it still gives me the same error. The camera worked perfectly before I uninstalled this program and doesn't at all anymore. Also, the screen seems at times to be staying lit sometimes and not turning off.

Does anybody have any ideas?

Did you delete IR remote or uninstall it the proper way,from the app manager.If its the first,try installing it again and then uninstall it from the app manager.

I went into tools --> manager and deleted it there

As the message says, it's a Hardware Error. Purely coincidence about IR remote probably.
