can you please take a look at this?? this guy uploaded a theme that I made and says he is the author.. you can see at the screenshot that the "P.B.S" is there and that is my Artist name as an MC !! here's the link:

i uploaded it originally at zedge.no... months ago.. the real name of my theme is SX1 Blue.. and he is just spreading it around like he made it ???

and if he's not from switzerland then it's definitely not his.. cuz SWISS GSM only exist in switzerland.. it's one of the biggest providers in our country!

Everybody please e-mail [email][email protected][/email] with the names of themes you either want re-crediting or deleting and I will do it as a matter of urgency.

Also, in future, please do redirect ST queries to me, not 'GhostDog or any ADMIN' as it is only me (and possibly Rafe) who has the power to amend the data on the site.

One final thing - SymbianThemes.com has a NO WAREZ policy, and is tightly linked with AllAboutSymbian (and said link is reciprocated) so please believe me, I will do everything I can to prevent warez.

The logical step would be to introduce "admin approval" on the themes, but to be honest, I really do not have the time to check every theme. The site was intended to be a resource for people to use for their own benefit, and not to abuse it.

One thought was a policy of 'self moderation' where people can report themes instantly, and if, say, 5 people report the theme, it is automatically deleted, however, this too could easily be prone to abuse.

So sorry for any inconvenience warez themes can cause, but rest assured I will try to remove them as soon as I see them.

This is obviously a tricky area to police,(although you shouldn't have too).
I cant understand why people keep ripping off others themes anyway as i would suspect the majority of visitors to ST.com are all familiar with AAS and as such would immediatly be caught out (as the above posts would prove),its not the first time this has happened and i am sure it wont be the last,but it is being handled brilliantly and hopefully will soon stop as people become aware it will not be tollerated.

BTW Elton,

Some of your themes have been up_loaded on this iste by other people saying that they are the author. It's a shame, if I had to up-load a theme I would be fair enough to say who performed the job.

the funny thing is.. the admin of zedge corrected the author name and today; after three days.. the same guy uploaded my Blue Superman theme again with a different author name !! C'mon how dumb can somebody be ???

Hi I am the admin of www.zedge.no and I agree that this is a major problem. Unfortunatly it is also hard to overcome without doing a lot of manual work. But if anyone finds their themes on mye site without the proper author-name, please contact me and I will fix it immediatly.
