30 Minutes With The N-Gage QD

Ewan's been casting his expert eye over the N-Gage QD at today's press launch and he's reasonably happy with what he's found out. It's not the perfect machine Nokia were hoping for, and there's very little to tempt existing N-Gage Users to upgrade, but it's nice. Here's what he thought, in another of our "30 Minutes With" articles.

Glad you liked it - we've got quite a bit of N-Gage QD coverage over the next week, so check back when you can.

Thanks for the article... I'm looking forward to your next ones.

How well does the QD fit in your pockets (pants)? Smaller seems
good, but thicker can add more of a bulge. I'm sure there's a joke
in there somewhere... 😊

There's definitely a joke there, especially when one considers that pants are underwear in the UK...

However, I didn't get a chance to pocket one, and Ewan was wearing a skirt (sorry kilt), but from the feel of the phone in the hand it certainly felt smaller than say a 3650, although I'd like to know whether the rubbery covering would catch and drag in a pocket.

We should be getting review models shortly and this is certainly a test we'll be trying!

I am waiting for that article...

Careful...

...just because I really *do* look like my avatar at these events.

Ewan,

Whould you happen to know if the 1070mAh battery in the QD works with the N-Gage classic?

At least one of the Nokia chaps assured us it was the same battery as in the N-Gage "Classic", but we didn't get a chance to pull one to pieces to find out 😞

It could be his beta phone had the normal battery, and the higher capacity one is the same sized package, which would be very nice. Hopefully, we will find out very soon.
