Which is better in terms of quality and space requirement 3gp or mpeg4
movies.
I have converted a 40 m.b. movie to a 4 m.b. 3gp movie. The sound was very good but the frame rate was slow and picture quality was also a bit low.
I havent tried mpeg4 yet. I dont have a applications for it.
WHich is better 3gp or mpeg4. ( does it have a difference in quality , or size)
MP4 and 3GP are basicaly containers for the same format,3GPP which is modified divx.If you want to watch high quality movies on your p900 try SmartMovie.
I've tried both, and found that there're more tuning options with the MPG4 conversion (Quicktime 6.5, Mac) - I got a better quality image and sound, with higher framerate, with MPG4. What it really boils down to is the capabilities of the conversion program - a 2-pass encoder will almost always result in a smaller, better quality file, for example.
I've done files for smartmovie, and they're pretty good too, but of course you have to pay for the player - at least MPG4 can be transferred to another P900 and it'll play.
