EPOCware NOT very coorperative!

A few months ago I bought ZipManagerForNokia from EPOCware. Main use for
this application would be backing up my Communicator\System directory. Last
week I upgraded this software from 1.2 to 2.0 and guess what, EPOCware
decided to remove this option in 2.0 because it "somtimes leads to crashes".
It can be me but if an bug exists in software, you solve this by improving
your software and not by removing functionality.

After some emails I discovered that EPOCware is actually fooling around with
me, it's not a bug in this function but this function prevented them from
getting the Nokia OK logo in version 2.0. Then even won't send me the old
version 1.2, because "the Nokia OK logo doesn't allow this".

This is the last time I bought something from EPOCware, they aren't really
customer-oriented.
Any opinions?

Not trying to defend EPOCware, but this is a well known issue in todays Internet and Software world...

The problem here is, I guess, is what people call Third (or Extra) Parties Software. This issue unfortunately does not depend only on Epocware but on Nokia itself....

For me, this issue equals the well known problem in regards of Windows and all other Software providers. For example, I work for a Software company. We provide Embroidery Software worldwide. Sometimes people call us and complain about matters re imcompatibility with other applications installed on their PC, or even that our Soft does not work with certain types of Windowes versions. Unfortubately, we must adapt to what Windows says, otherwise no business...

I agree with you that Service & Support is the most important thing now these days in business (I do not know who the story goes with you & Epocware...). It is a matter how to present and resolve problems...

Wishing you all the best Luck in your quest.

Regards.
