For months now I have been trying EVERYTHING to get my device to sync. I am extremely grateful to you for compiling such a complete solution and to Brandon Jenkins for his expert advice. I would like to share a few bits of info that might be pertinent to other users.

- I used Simon's solution successfully with a third party USB/BlueTooth adapter rather than built-in BlueTooth.
- I did encounter the same old error message initially, but continued to follow the steps in the PDF as outlined and did finally Sync properly.
- I was successful only when my VPN was OFF. I do not know why, but I am on a wireless network here, so perhaps there was some sort of conflict.

Simon's also a fantastic person, he talked me through fixing my .plists over iChat and we worked out if you don't have the files in the 501 folder, look in the 502 and 503 folders, there's many users in Mac OS X 😉

Great run update and now my p900 no longer works with isync....
Rats.... oh well back to the drawing board!
