Anyone actually playing any games here?

Ok, so I saw someone said DOOM was one of their fav games to play on the N-Gage. I for one, love DOOM, I have it on the PC (I have had it since it's original Floppy Disk release), and on the GBA. But where can I find the DOOM game for N-Gage? I am VERY interested. Hahaha, yeah, sorry about me asking all sorts of questions, but DOOM would be great fun to have. If someone could hook me up with a link I would greatly apreciate it.

Oh yes, and for all of you RPG fans, I think the new Elder Scrolls game has some REAL potential. If it plays ANYTHING like Morrowind, it will be an incrediable addition to the game line up. I am still waiting on that Super Nintendo Emu, that way I can play Zelda and the bunches of other games I loved ever so much for that system. But yeah, can anyone put up a link to where I can download/however you get, the DOOM game? Thanx!

well, I found it at kazaa. There are several versions, some of them will not work if you do not install it on your device memory. Try. If you want, I've got it, you can add me on your messenger, and I'll pass it to you. No sound, though, you gotta pay for that I think.

Ah, ok. So I have to register it for the sound? Thats a bummer... Oh well... So by chance do you know if they included the codes or not? Because quite honestly, the game was much better with all the weapons on the first level, haha.

DOOM is a freeware so you don't have to pay for it to have sound. You need to install a game from WILDPALM that includes their sound engine file or something like that and it should work.

You can access the god mode and any level from the main menu, you dont even have to use a code 😃

As for the sound, Ive never got it to work. thats whay I thought it was shareware or something-

seems the sounds is a bit iffy shareware or not........

'Doom one of the famous first person shooters and the most famous piece of shareware is available as freeware (or at least the engine that runs the shareware .wad file is freeware). The Doom engine is available from WildPalm, but you'll need to track the wad (level) file seperately. These are relatively easy to find using Google. You might also want to get hold of the MMC add on which allows you to store the data files for Doom on an MMC card so that they don't use up your precious internal memory space. You get the best playing experience if you play in Full Screen mode - things do looks a bit stretched but it is worth it. In theory you can get sound support, but you need to have another of WildPalm's program installed so it can use the sound engine, this seems to be a bit hit and miss though.'

copied from somewhere else on the site, by Rafe, interesting page on Freeware, god knows where, its too early and ive not had a brew yet.

I've managed to find a working copy of DOOM complete with all the levels, sound and mmc support all in one .sis file. If anyone wants a copy let me know so that I could e-mail it to you.

On the N-Gage i mostly play Fifa2004 and Tony Hawk. Tony Hawk is very cool, but does anybody know how to do special moves? i got 16 tapes and 1 gold medal so far. I'm having trouble with the Downhill Jam, thats difficult.

First, Tomb raider looks awesome. I believe its a port of the port to pocket pc. I've played through a large portion of the PPC version and the only difference is a higher resolution. Tony Hawk is great, but the response time on the controls is just a bit sluggish. FIFA 2004 and NCAA Football 2004 are incredibly fun. I especially like the depth of NCAA. Its unfortunate that in both, you can't make trades in league /season modes (really takes a lot away from NCAA, not so bad for fifa tho). Ancient Empires looks awesome. I haven't gotten a chance to play it, but Im going to dl it when I get off work this afternoon. I've been looking for a Final fantasy tactics style game to play on my phone and that seems to be as close as Im gonna get. Anyone know if legacy is available for the ngage? I've heard its one of the best mobile RPGS. The new Elder Scrolls game looks SICK!!! I anxiously await its release. Red Faction is the worst game I've ever played for any system. I have the PC version and it wasn't bad, especially with Geomod. One couldn't expect Geomod to be ported to NGAGE, but even without destructable terrain, the game plays horribly. I pray Ashen is much better, I Haven't played it yet either. I've been planning to develop a really robust RPG for the NGAGE, but I haven't found the free SDK, if anyone knows the URL, please post it or IM or email me... If anyone is interested in joining a serious rpg game project, definately contact me.

"Anyway, another question; What games for the N-Gage are you most anticipating?"

Oh god, here we go:

5.) Elder Scrolls
4.) Virtua Cop
3.) Xanadu Next
2.) Joe
1.) REQUIEM OF HELL (CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS!!!)

On a side note, I just want to say, KING OF FIGHTERS *HAS* been confirmed for N-Gage!! It is expected sometime this fall, probably September or November!

I've looked through this thread twice and i haven't seen many people comment on Pathway To Glory at all. I'm quite shocked to see that as for me that's the game i'm most eagerly waiting for... Is it just me that everyone's happy playing emulators or that Nokia hasn't been marketing this game much in your countries? 😮

For now:
Tony Hawk : runs smooth and perfectly on N-gage, and myself is a partially hardcore ( P.E.A.C.A.) skateboarder.
Tomb Raider : not because of Lara's pyramid boobs...aaaahhhh...because I lost my PSX copy of Tomb Raider and planned to pick it up again ...that's all.. it's really a good game for me.
Fifa and Mecel soccer : both play good musics and good for 10-min-wait for me.

later in future , planning to get Ashen, The Sims, Pathway to Glory, Pocket Kingdom and so on..
