I need to be clarified with this items - because i have no experience with them whatsoever.
My operator offers Wap unlimited for 4$ - but does it mean i can visit normal web addresses using a 3650 let`s say ?
I will qoute my operator: "with this service you will have unlimited WAP acces via GPRS"
Will i be able to connect to Agile Messenger for example ?
Another option at my operator is Internet Mobile Always-On - which seems to be quite different from wap - could it be only for connecting a pc to the mobile and surf the net - or is it neccesary to surf the net on the phone (wap not being enough?)? - i can`t put it more clearly 😞
The first option is 6$ and has 5MB included - is this enough if i`m going to have to choose Internet Always On and NOT WAP Unlimited ?
I hope you understand what i mean,
thanks El_Cid
With GPRS WAP access, there are operators that limit your access to the actual Internet; they might only allow WAP sites of their own or those that they feel you should be allowed to access.
With GPRS WAP access, some operators will allow you to access Internet web sites, which their WAP gateways/proxies try to convert to WAP/WML/XHTML, if possible.
With GPRS WAP access you also won't be able to use true web (HTTP/HTML) browsers (like Opera), email (POP3/IMAP4), etc. (including Agile Messenger).
To get the latter, you need full GPRS Internet access, which usually means a suitable subscription/plan from the operator + their so called "Internet Access Point" settings (as opposed to GPRS WAP Access Point settings).
Your operator's "Internet Mobile Always-On" sounds like it is full GPRS Internet access. Find out what the price is above the 5MB, as you might very well exceed that, if you use network applications (email, browsing, downloading, instant messaging) a lot.
i can`t afford over 5MB 😞 if i won`t do any downloading - only surfing and reading mail anc chating am i going to make more than 5MB traffic ?
i get your point - and thanks for the details and clear enlgish 😊
With surfing, email and chatting I'm sure it is possible to exceed 5MB per month.
The phone has a built-in GPRS counter in the "Log" app (sent & received amount of data), so you might want to reset that at the beginning of your billing period and keep on eye on it.

Get your operators WAP Access Point Settings *AND* Internet Access Point settings from your operator's web site or Nokia's web site: http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,,71993,00.html
When you have the settings sent to you as a configuration message, open the messages from your Inbox and choose the save option to activate them.
If that's not enough, call your operator and ask them if your plan/subscription allows WAP and/or full Internet access. If not, ask what it takes/costs to enable them.

When i had GPRS WAP access, I COULD use the Opera!
But, no, i COULD NOT use Agile Messenger with GPRS WAP access.
