shut down when starting phone

My 6600 shut down very often when I start it. Normaly after enter PIN, sometimes when I want to open the menu after start up. I tried to reset the phone completly with s-tools but it does not help.
I installed a "forbidden" programm once, but after a reset this should be no problem? Or is it possible that a programm change something in the flash-rom?
Should I give it back, and take a new one (bought in dec. 03)?

Check the contents of C: or E: /system/apps using a file manager to see if there are any files from apps you no longer have installed and delete if so. 😊

I did not found any "waste" :?
What information is in the startermonolog.txt? I delet this file (I made a backup before) and no it seems too work...
The Problem I described comes and goes when it wants even after a format of the phone (with system Tools). Is that the *#7370# format?
How can I know if the operating system is still up too date?
Would you give it simply to nokia service?

Thanks mara
