7650 memory full !

Hi all,

My 7650 keeps displaying 'Memory Full' message when I try to boot it and I never make it to the main menu. My friend told me to flash it, but I can not afford to loose the data in it. Any suggestions ?

Thanx in advance,

Jack

Turn phone off. Hold down the ABC button and power on. Dont release the ABC button till it asks for password or till you in the standby screen. If it worked, then back up all your data you dont want to lose and format the phone. You can format by dialing *#7370#
Make sure you have enough battery wenn formating your phone or plug in the charger.

Damn, haven't heard that one in a while.

The memory full bug was a symptom of the orignal firmware (v3.12) on the 7650.

If Royal21's suggestion does not work, I'm afraid the only solution is to take it to a Nokia Service Centre to get it flashed. Unfortunately yes you will lose your data. You should get it upgraded to a later firmware regardless of whether you are able to get it to boot again. Later firmware versions make the phone run a heap faster, as well as curing that mem full bug.

just let it off for few minutes, then turn it on again... keep pressing the menu button, then delete some files....
