Problem with saved files. Help Please (Newbie)!!

Hi,

Just wanted to let you all know what a wonderful forum you have here. I'm a bit of a newbie with symbian o/s so please pardon my [sometimes] dumb questions.

I had opera preloaded with my phone, but reformated my MMC and lost the program. Therefore, I I downloaded opera from their website and sent the .sis file to my Nokia 6600 via bluetooth. This came up an an "incoming message" on my phone and I proceeded with the installer. I saved it to my Memory Card.

However, I don't know where opera is installed. I checked the card via "file manager" and can't see Opera anywhere. AND, it's not on my main menu.

Any idea where this would have gone?

Thanks in advance for a newbie in serious need of help.

Cheers to all of ya.

Welcome

Sounds like you didnt move the joystick to the right in "File manager",to select memory card.

If no luck with this, install from pc instead of sending .sis to phone (double click .sis on pc with phone connected).

A Problem similar to this was asked yesterday!!!!!!!!

Looked around and still couldn't find the post from yesterday 😞

Anyways, I knwo taht i moved the joystick to the right in file manager to select the MMC.

It's funny that not only can I not see the Opera program, but I can't see any of the themes, pictures, etc that I have downloaded. All I see are empty folders. The only way I am able to see a theme is when I physically click on the "themes" icon in the main menu.

I have no idea what's going on 😞 Any ideas?
