I'm basically a Mac user. Just wondering if there is a way to send SMS from my PowerBook over BT using P900. Does any body aware of that?

Yes. As long as you have a dongle/module and the phone is paired, open address book and turn bluetooth on (Bluetooth logo button top left). Then when you right click on a mobile number in any address card you get the option to send an SMS - a window opens and you just type the message in. The cool part is that when you get a message it pops up on the screen like a stickie note. 😃

thanks for your reply. I do have my phone and the PowerBook paired � I can synchronize and send files over BT as well. But the problem is clicking the address book�s BT icon it do gets my phone (a blink on the screen) and stays blue (i.e. connected) for few seconds and then nothing. Right clicking on the mobile number shows the options for �send SMS� and �dial� but disabled � no way to click either one. Am I missing something?
Ah yes, this happens periodically, most often after synchronising. I think it's iSync getting in the way. As a test, shutdown and restart both machines, and then try SMSing as the first thing once restarted. I just did this (at home now) as a test, and it's all working fine. There may be another issue if you have a number of itemspaired - I recently had a P800, my P900, a BlueDSL unit and a Jabr BT200 all paired, and I think it was a bit flaky then, although being a bit on the ancient side, I do more calls than texts, so I don't check this feature much... 😉
Mmm.... i can link my iMac and my p900 if the p900 rings it shows on the mac.
But i can phone from the mac or send an sms.
Also if one comes in it does not show in the mac.
Any ideas.
I also cant answer or send the call to voice mail... odd that!
Hey guys, as far as I know of it isn't possible to get SMS working with P900 and Mac yet!!
Tried several times without succes. Check the apple forum and you'll see.

Probably u right - same here, several unsuccessful attempts but people out here those who have done as they say. Just install OS X 10.3.3 but again the same, even worse - every time I click the address book�s BT button it�s pairing (or trying to ) the phone then nothing. Just confused!!!
