I have just bought a Nokia 6600 and I have a couple of questions, I hope someone can give me some advice....
1) If I format my MMC card using the standard symbian procedure built into my phone, what will be deleted? Currently there are a few folders which have been there since day one. The folders are as follows: Images, Nokia, Other, Saved Texts, Sound Clips & Video clips. I would like to know if these will remain once the MMC card has been formatted?
2) Is there a way I can transfer my text messages from my Inbox on the phone memory to my MMC card using the standard software?
Hope someone can answer these questions
Thanks
Gavin
You can switch the messaging memory from phone memory to memory card (or back) in Messaging app settings (the "Memory in use" value determines this).
When it is set to "Memory card", then all message folders are on the MMC.
Formatting the MMC cleans it from all content.
You might find the free FExplorer from http://www.gosymbian.com/ useful to see all the files and folders on the phone (+ additional useful features it has).
