Connecting the emulator and internet

Hi everybody!

I am trying to connect my emulator (SDK 1.0) to the internet using my PC connection. I am working with W2000 and C++Builder. First of all, i have to said that I cant use Peroon files because they are not compatible with Borland IDE. Because of this, i am trying to configure RAS access.

-I have connected the ports COMM1 and 2 with a NULL modem Cable.
-I have prevented IR monitoring in these ports.
-I have changed in T_EDITB.exe (modems) port number->0 (COMM::1), and HAYES in the third parameter.
-Now I am trying to configure RAS, but I have got documentation of W NT RAS and I am using W2000. I have used Nokia "ras_config_N9210_communicator" document (Forum Nokia), but I cant find in my PC the part about "Dialin" in the RAS users account.

Does anyone configure this?? What do I have to do?? Anything else??
Thanks in advance.

Hi there,

I am using SDK 2.0. I tried all the possible solutions I found on the forums including the NULL Modem RAS configuration. It did not work.
But I was able to find an Ethernet Plugin for SDK 2.0 from the Nokia's forum. This helped me configuring the Emulator and I could connect to the Internet. Check out whether a similar plugin exists for the SDK 1.0.

Hope this helps!

Regards,
Ravi

Thanks for your reply, I think there is not a tool like this for my SDK.... I will be trying it!!
