where to enter puk code....
well the problem has been sloved

i want to tell do once hard format using button
and the soft format using *7370*

i found my code to be 12345

Yeah the default code is 12345 as i said above, but you should change this.

The puk code will be requested when entering the lock code incorrectly 3 times.

I dont know then Vicky,

When i first got my phone i entered the wrong lock code 3 times and had to enter puk to reset lock code, worked for me???

Sorry

If you enter a wrong PIN code 3 times the SIM will be blocked and will request a PUK code.If you enter the wrong lock code 5 times the phone will be blocked for a period of 5 minutes, then you can enter the correct lock code to unlock it.

Will soft format erase the numbers off of my phone? I have entered the wrong code more than 5 times how do I get it to ask for the PUK Code?

That is a SIM lock, not a phone lock, can't be erased with any key combo, you need to enter the PUK code.

How do I get the PUK Code thing to come up because it's not showing up

I forgot my passcode to my phone, and fried my sim card! All my numbers are stuck in my phone I need to get into my phone without erasing them! They are very very important numbers I have no way of getting back.

If you've forgotten the lock code, the only way that I know of to fix the situation is to have the phone reflashed with new (or the same as it has) firmware release.

This will, unfortunately, clear the contacts.

For future situations (which isn't a consolation now, I know):

  • Use the built-in "Memory" app to make backups to a memory card (which you do not store in/with the phone), and/or
  • Use PC Suite to synchronize your contacts/calendar with a PC (MS Outlook or Lotus Notes), and/or
  • Use the Remote Sync client and sign up to a SyncML service with which you can sync the contacts/calendar over the GSM/GPRS network, and/or
  • Use 2 or 3 of the above options to be even safer.

Problem:
I've enter the wrong pincode 3 times and now when I start my a925 it just say "sim pin 1 blocked" and it starts. Just a few things work and if i try do enter a number the message pops up again.
I cant find anywhere to enter my puk code!
please help!

I too have forgotten my lock code, i know my pin code so i can still use my phone but when i like to lock my phone when i'm not using it and i can't because i don't know the lock code. You have to know the lock code to change the lock code, it doesnt have anything to do with puk or pin. Can someone help? I dont want to format my phone, because ill loose all my information. Also does anyone know what the pin2 is?

PIN2 is for some additional features, like restricted call lists, etc.

If you have forgotten the lock code, only a service center can reset it by reflashing the phone. Make a backup before you have it reflashed and restore when you get it back.
