Ok this is getting extremely frustrating. I wish to use my P800 to write emails and use msn and ICQ chat, however I am constantly having problems trying to write the "_" character. The "handwriting recognition" topic on the phone says you are supposed to do that I character and write the symbol above the arrow, but then it is unclear exactly how to produce the "underscore", what is it? a dot and a line? when I do that I just get a dot! two lines? I get the = sign! just a line? I get the - sign.
HOW DO I MAKE THE UNDERSCORE??? I need a consistent foolproof method. anyone?

Yes it IS there. Click on the "123" tab of the virtual keyboard. it's there

I don't think you understood what I meant.
When you have opened the virtual keyboard there is a "123" tab. Three buttons underneath the "4" key there is an underscore (using the US-international keyboard layout that is). This IS a way that works 🙄
