if i don't want the sound in the movie which i am converting
then wht should i have to doo.

I've heard smartmovie mention a lot more than any other proggy for conversion to phone format, I myself have tried this proggy which seems a good idea to be able to store video on a sim, but I found the qaulity a little bit wanting. What I mean is that most of use a GREEDY when it comes to technology, we would like to have the best HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE for the job. I found when I increased the main setting in Smartmovie the picture quailty was great but it was jerking and freezing to much so I restored the setting to what I think most ppl use which gave me a 'arhhh okish picture with a fair bit of pixels. As anyone manage to get a near perfect smooth running video file on their phone (nokia 6600) or other? Are there other factors to take into account, or should we just wait with what we've got for now and give it time ?

Try pvauthor - it converts a variety of formats to 3gpp - easy to use

You may want to try Quicktime Pro (Should be a windows link or it's just there)
http://www.apple.com/mpeg4/3gpp/
The mac version is only low on a few things (I just compiled ffmpeg to do AMR_WB's), but the rest of it seems solid. Take a look and see what you think.

Go get mobiclip and DL their sample. I think it's called Little Mexico, or something like that. It's a small file that loops, but the quality will amaze you. 24 fps too!
