i would like to know if there is another program to install applications. the problem is that when i try to install an application the installer only checks if there is free memory in the phone memory, and don't check in the mmc. I've tried to install the new real one advanced but i can't because i don't have enough memory in the phone memory. i've deleted some files but it's not enough.if someone could help...
Problem with the installer
The installer first copies the entire .sis file to phone [storage] memory C:\Nokia\Installs before it installs it in phone memory or a memory card. So, there must be enough space in phone memory for the .sis file even if you install it on MMC.
the problem isn't that. It copies the file to c:\nokia\install but when it's time for the installation it says that there isn't enough memory...
Close any/all other applications you have running in the background.
Press the menu key for a while, and in the tasklist shut apps down by hitting 'C' for each one.
It's not ram memory that i'm talking about....let me see if o can explain you...If you try to install an application that is bigger than your free phone memory, it won't let you install it, even if you have enough memory in the mmc...
And that's what I said originally. You must have enough free phone memory to accommodate the installation (actual installation file and the whole process of unpacking it, etc.) regardless of whether you're installing to phone memory or memory card.
If there is not enough space, make some. There is no other way. So, remove apps until you have enough free space to install whatever app you don't have space for now, install it, and then reinstall the other apps.
My recommendation: Don't install any apps (except FExplorer) to phone memory; always install to the memory card.
If the sis file is really big, maybe you can unpack on PC and then just send the files directly to the MMC drive.
And how do i unpack apps in the pc?
Search the forum for a sis unpacker. It has been posted once or twice.
