P900 and Toyota Prius Bluetooth

Has anyone been able to get the P900 Bluetooth to interact appropriately with the bluetooth integrated within the Toyota Prius? If so, how was this accomplished?

Thanks,

Mark

If you're having trouble, then I suspect the Prius bluetooth only supports the handsfree profile. Unfortunately, the P900 only supports the bluetooth headset profile.

Pain in the arse I know, but no sign of an update yet.

Yeah.. having the same problem with the bluetooth in my BMW too :bawling:
I contacted BMW '....your P900 not compatable ...buy a NoK** phone!!' 😮

So I called SE, their reply was...... 'the unit is not compatible, buy a SE bluetooth handsfree car kit' .........arrrgghhh

Looks like SE has done it again, sales figures before customer satisfaction (p800 onwers) !!!

I was just wondering, is the P900 compatible with any car manufactureurs OEM bluetooth kits?

Anyone know about future software update?

All OEMs are using the Hands Free Profile, not the Headset Profile, so unfortunately the P900 would only be compatible with aftermarket kits. Shame on Sony Ericsson for this poor decision..

The P910 does have Bluetooth handsfree profile and should work. Please check out the existing thread on this topic: http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/forum//forum/thread/29692/&highlight=BMW+Bluetooth

I've ordered my SE 910 and will test next week with my 6-series BMW (645Ci), which also uses handsfree profile. That should be a good test for you.
