Has anyone tried to take the MMC card from a digital camera and put it in the Nokia N-Gage? Will it be able to display the photos?
Several camera vendors use MMC as storage memory: HP, Casio, Toshiba, Kodak, Kyocera, Minolta.
I've tried to ask HP about this, but they weren't very helpful.
I hope MMC is a standard and that this should be plug & play and not plug & pray, but it would be nice if someone could confirm this (i.e. play and not pray...)
Thanks,
Erlend
Yes. MMC works. An SD card won't, though.
I tried to move the mmc card from a casio and a panasonic camera into my N-Gage, and it was able to display the images.
I ended up buying a HP Photosmart R707 camera, and when I moved the mmc card from the camera to my phone - the images could'nt be displayed! I checked the content of the jpeg file, and it had an exif header instead of a jfif header.
I downloaded http://www.resco-net.com/symbian/, and this software was able to display the images. I could not send the images as MMS however - probably need to convert the exif image to a jfif image to do that.
