Is there anyway to withold my caller id

I've tried going through every menu but cannot find a option to turn off my caller id. Is there an update to the firmware that has this option.

If you entered the number you can press the "option" key. There should be an option there called "hide my number" or something like that. You can also dial the number with #31# in front of it (for example #31#012345680)

Thanks that worked is there a more permanant way.

well you could modify the address book entries with #31#.... I thought the operators did not implement that option by default.

Well the landline-operators here in the Netherlands do, so I thought maybe the mobile operators had such an option as well

Yeah, my operator will hide your number (for a monthly charge!) and even provide you with a network command to turn it on and off. It's worth getting in contact with them if it's really important to you.
