Im just wondering if anyone has sent a video capture via mms and not e-mail??I have tried to rename the mp4 file with efile manager and i dont know what i should do so i can send a short mp4 video via mms,,,,any ideas???
ANYONE SENT VIDEO VIA MMS??
As you probably noticed, you cannot send it as an MMS message directly.
Changing the file name won't help either, because the phone and your oiperator's MMSC (message center) check the messages for correct type of data.
When I try to insert an MP4 file to an MMS messsage, I get an error message saying: "Unable to insert. File format not supported or corrupted data".
I don't quite understand why there has to be a check for "correct data", since you should be able to send any kind of data via MMS. This is not good for different companies that want to build applications using binary MMS messages for many purposes.
Tero
If you open a mail message with the MP4 file you want to use, then exit out of the program, it save another copy of the MP4 in your Drafts in the mailbox.
If you then use a file browser the other copy is kept in C:\system\mail\
if you do a search in this folder you can the copy & paste it.
But i'm not sure where to paste it for a new MMS message. This is a very long winded way of doing it, but i'm sure it's possible.
ah well ya saved me a hell of a lotta time
I was gonna try doing that tonight
but if it doesnt work then ill just give that a miss I guess.
