Alarm Apps

For now I know we can't change the default alarm sound, but do any of the 3rd party software allow selecting a different sound for their alarms? I've tried HandyClock and World Clock (from Epocware and Psiloc+ respectively) and neither allows that. Anybody know's any software that sets its own alarms and plays either a user selected sound or it's own sound that's a bit more shrill than the default sound?

Alarm tone is kept in

Z:\System\Sounds\Simple\

You should in theory be able to cut and paste a tone in to that folder and use it. i'm not sure how it would work though as all the files in the Z: drive are read only so you can't remove the Alarm tone.

It's a .RNG file but i'm not sure if you could use something else.

There was a thread regarding the Z: alarm sound sometime back, but it shouldn't be too difficult to have a 3rd party software (esp those world time software), to allow users to chose an alarm instead of using the default tone, or at least provide their own (hopefully better) sounds.

I use it as an alarm clock, and the default tone is just not something that would wake you up. 😊
