hmmm was after summat a bit more than that but thanks anyway dude, at least you replied ! cheers.
Nokia in their infinite wisdom design it so you could not run the games on a 6600, so trying to make them work on the phone will mean you either have to crack the 6600 or N-Gage games, which in both cases is illegal.

thanks again Barn, someone on a work discussion group has just come out with a statement that the QD is basically a rehashed 6600 and that the 6600 plays n gage games anyway so i was just after comfirmation thats he stalking out of his derriere before i replied !
Well they're based onteh same OS and the same hardware, but then so is a home PC and an X-Box, but that doesn;t ness. mean you can play X-Box games on a home PC without serious hacking

The N-Gage QD is not a rehashed 6600. It is a rehashed N-Gage.
They do run, but it is illegal to crack them, the real problem is many require more memory than the 6600 can give, also the screen runs at a different colour depth, so some games look totally psychadellic and a real problem is that the 6600 only has a 5-way joystick, so you can't perform many of the moves required for the games.
Rayman for instance...a bout 3 levels in you have to crawl and move, can't be done on the 6600...................game over.
