Handy Safe Security

I just lost me P900 (alas!!!) but Im much more worried about the data I have on it. I was using Hand Safe (3.5) to keep all my important and confidential data and Im just thinking about that one only. Is it possible that the Handy Safe security can be cracked and some one else can access of my data? Dose any one got any idea?

Any related information would be much more appreciated.

Thanks in advance!!

The answer to your question is yes, but probably not.

There is only one unbreakable encryption algorithm (I mean a one-time pad, I am excluding things like quantum crypto) which Handy Safe definitely doesn't use so if someone wants to spend enough time/effort then yes they could. However, the likelihood that the person who finds your phone will be able to do so and care enough to do so is (I would guess) extremely small.

Handy Safe uses a well-respected algorithm called Blowfish. Assuming (and this is a big assumption) that it has been properly implemented, it is unlikely that anyone without huge computing power (and I'm not talking about a big PC) could get access to your data.

The only flaw in this is if you have chosen a bad password. If it's "P900" I would guess you are stuffed, but I assume you have more sense than this.

lotus49, Many thanks for your replay.

One more question to ask: The sim security pin and phone's internal security code both were activated and the phone was switched off when I lost it. My network provider already blocked the sim card and blacklisted the phone's IMEI number of that phone so it's now restricted on any network here. My concern is, is it still possible to use that phone as a PDA? How easy to break the SEP900's internal security? Just thinking little bit about my address book as well.
