smart2go is a new piece of software from gate5. It is an interactive route planning application. It currently covers European cities. It features routing and address finding capabilities with easy to use mapping that are not dependent on a network connections. Included are points of interest which include restaurants, parking, stations and attractions. Support for GPS is also included.
The software is available in several version including UK and Ireland (which has 12 cities - Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Sheffield, Belfast, Cork and Dublin) in 2 license options (annual - �17 or lifetime - �30). Other areas currently avilable are France and Benelux and Central Europe with more on the way. The European regions are better value that the UK and Ireland containing more cities for less outlay.
