Hey everyone.
I've done a search and found similar topics but not this one exactly.
I bought a 6600 lately (cool phone 😊 ) and after a bit of messing got Bluetooth working with PC Suite. And everything is cool - transferring from PC Suite to the phone. But if I take a pic on the phone and wanna send it to my PC and so use the SEND/via Bluetooth command - it just says 'Unable to Connect'
Like I said - the other way (using PC Suite) to transfer from PC to phone works fine. I know Nokia stop various .extensions from being copied - but I don't think JPEGs are one of them...
Anyone else had this...and is it fixable?
I use Firmware: v 4.09.1 - 26-02-04
Thanks!
A
PS:- While I'm here - can you only have the phone set up to pair to one device at a time? I set up a pairing between my home PC fine. When I then pair to my Work PC - it over writes the Home PC one...?
Sounds like the PC's Bluetooth software isn't accepting the connection/receiving.
You can pair the phone with many devices just fine. Are you, by chance, using the same Bluetooth adapter on the home PC and the work PC?
Your right - I am using the same Bluetooth Dongle. Is that the problem then with not pairing more than one device - because even though both PCs have different name - they share the same dongle??
I'll have a look at the Bluetooth software as well to see why it won't accept the connection... 😊

Since it is the same Bluetooth dongle, I suppose it is using its unique ID for pairing; i.e., the phone thinks it is the same PC because of that.
I suppose you have to get a second dongle for the other PC, or redo the pairing every time you switch PCs.
well, my 'sending-to-PC-from-phone' -problems ended after I activated the 'PIM item transfer' protocol from my bluetooth software (widcomm). Before that, I had only 'File transfer' enabled and while I could send from PC to phone, it didn't work the other way. Sort of a bug that, really..
