In the past few months I have really got into this whole symbian thing with the Nokia 7650, I didn't know that Mobile Communication / Entertainment had progressed so far so quickly! And there I was with my 8890's & my T68i's. 😃
Now i've had a taste of Symbian a'la 7650, I WANT MORE.
I'm looking to get a 92XX but I need some advice on what to get. I'm not gonna be using it as my main device, just a toy for playing games, browsing net, editing word/excel ect on the train... I'm not sure which device will be the best for me, my instinct's tell me to go for the 9210i, but do I really need it? Or will the 9210 sufice?
I am also thinking of getting an SE P800 instead of my 7650, but isn't that more of a 92XX thing rather than 7650?
I could go back to a T68i and use a 92XX for all my symbian needs, but the camera is too annoying......oh desisions desisions!!!
Any ideas??
Thanks in advance, this is a great fourm, I will consider all suggestions. 😃
If you want get sth. more / new then go for a 9210i. But since you already have one nice device, you should maybe wait until Christmas and see what other nice devices are coming up... 😉
Do you know of anything in the pipeline?
Check the topic "Will it really be a merry Christmas" under Miscellaneous and you can see that there are some interesting phones in the pipeline.
I'm gonna try and get hold of a 9210 and have a play with one before I make my desicion.
Your sig suggests a decision has been made already...... 😮
Yeah, but I also want aonther phone to replace my 7650, like a P800 or ???
Like I said before, I'm gonna get hold of a 9210 and give it a go, but from what I've heard about them. I've pretty much made up my mind.
As for the replacement for the 7650, I'm gonna wait a while and see what comes out.

In reply to this i would have to say DEFINETLY get a 9210, there is no real benefit from having a 9210i.Yes it has more memory but this won't matter if you buy a larger memory card(which you will),yes it can handle streaming video over the web but trust me you don't need this it will just make browsing a page slower and you wont be using your 9210 for leisurely browsing sessions(its just to expensive).

You say you want to be able to play games and edit word/excel well the keyboard and direction pad on the 9210 is far superior to a jog wheel and the phone buttons of the p800.Also don't be under the illusion that the p800 is much smaller than the 9210 because tis not. There is plenty of decent games and multimedia programmes available for 9210

I use a samsung a300 for when i can't be bothered lugging around my wonderful brick and as for a camera i use my casio colour wristcamera watch which syncs with the 9210 via infra red(not the best of pictures but i love it)
You could sell your 7650 and buy a 9210 from ebay or adtrader and have plenty of cash left over!
I LOVE MY BRICK.BRICKS ARE BEST!
Cheers for that comprehenive reply. I think i'm going to get a 9210 next week and keep my 7650 for a while due to the digital camera.
And for my next question, is the 9210 bluetooth compatiable, as it could be quite handy for storing images and such like from the 7650, if not I'm assuming it will have IR so it souldn't be a problem.
Thanks for everyones help.
Bluetooth no, irda yes.
You can send images and other files from your 7650<=>9210 though infared.
Btw, if you have a choice. Go for the 9210i, it really has more to offer then the 9210.
Yeah I've had a look at the specs on Nokia.com and I was thinking I'd rather get the 9210i.
I had an idea about using a bluetooth HD for my 7650 for extra storage space, but the files on the extra HD couldn't run on the 7650 without either being moved back to the 7650 or having a permanent BT connection which would sap the battery in about 30 mins.
This way I can still swap images and files between 7650<>9210i to free up more space on the non existent memory of the 7650.
So that's my mind made up. I'm off to get me a 9210i
CHEERS GUY'S
