With no USB port, I'm wondering how I will be able to get all of the great software that's available into my new QD.
Any suggestions or questions? I was working as a product demonstator for the QD and Call of Duty.

With a MMC reader for your PC. I find it more comfortable.

if you worked for Nokia you should know that the QD has bluetooth.
not everyoine likes pc suite and bluetooth-i find it cumbersome and annoying. MMC card readers your best shot, they're not expensive

Yes I know my unit has bluetooth but I didn't want to transfer this way since I can imagine it may take a lot of time.
With the MMC card reader, am I correct in assuming the process is similar to burning files to a CD and then importing them into another computer. Once I get the information from my PC onto an MMC card, I then insert the card into my QD and transfer off the card into the QD? Is this correct?
Thanks
More like a removable harddisk.
You move your files to an mmc with the card reader, insert in the N-Gage and it will be able to use all those files and to answer your question, yes files can be installed from the installation file copied on the MMC.
cant belive u work for nokia and dont know much about mmc
hey nokia want to hire a professional😃
Wirelessly posted (NokiaN-Gage/1.0 SymbianOS/6.1 Series60/1.2 Profile/MIDP-1.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.0)
Yes, card readers are perfect for the QD, since you can actually remove and insert the card without taking the bloody thing apart!

I supposed you guys have got the QD right? can you tell me how is it??
i want to know whether any people out here have already bought a Nokia N-gage QD as it's still not available here in my region yet.
i have some questions about the Nokia N-gage QD.....
1. The Nokia N-gage QD does not have any USB connection to a computer (from what i've read)...so is there any way to install applications?? can i transfer the application installer into the MMC (using a card reader/write) then install "internally" .?? (IS THIS WHAT YOU GUYS MEANT IN THE EARLIER PART??)
2. There is only a mono headset jack on the phone... so i've found this!!
http://www.amabilidade2002.com/audio89.htm
its a 2.5mm MONO plug to 3.5m STEREO socket / jack !!! but the problem is: IS IT TRUE THAT I CAN CONVERT MONO TO STEREO USING THIS ADAPTER???
thanks everyone
As for the first question, yes you can do it. No problem with that.
Answering the second one, no you can't. Stero means two different signals, one for each ear. You can connect two earwhatevers(don't remember the word, a normal headset) but it doesn't mean its stereo, it's just a duplicated mono signal. You'll hear the same in both earwossnames. But it's not really that important I suppose...
Anyway, you'll make a great purchase with a n-gage QD, so don't think it twice. Playing tomb raider, tony hawk or any mega drive rom, watching movies in your mobile, checking your mail and allaboutsymbian forums... Well and calling people also 😃 the n-gage is a great device, believe me.

ic...i've always believed that n-gage is good, since it is a symbian device...but if i plug in a stereo headphone with the mono/stereo adapter, i will still not get stereo sound right?
one more question:
does symbian OS 6.x and 7.0 differ much?? if symbian OS 7.0 is much better than OS 6.x, then i would want a n6600... actually i am interested in N-Gages because it is the cheapest Symbian OS handphone or i can say the cheapest smartphone i know... not because of the gaming. to me, gaming on n-gage is only secondary to my interest. 😊
