Hi everyone,
I've been experiencing an amazing disfunction on my mobile for a certain time now. When receiving a phonecall, my N6600 will start playing the first notes of the pre-defined ringtone; after two or three notes, it swaps to a different ringtone and keeps playing it.
This problem happens randomly. Although it is not too disturbing, just funny, I'd like to know if anyone had experienced something similar, and eventually how did he / she solve it.

After upgrading to firmware 4.09.1 my nokia 6600 acts in the same way. It starts to play my defined ringtone, then switches to nokia tune.
mine plays an assortment of different ringtones when the same people ring me! If i have switched profile to silent and then back to general it will play a different tone. I am using group ringtones which are wav files on my memory card. any ideas?

I had the same problem too: it will rings with tones that u set but then to the default tone right? This happened to me after I activated the FScaller. I tried a few times and noted that this will happen when the incomming call is not from the contact list/ contact list but not assigned ring tone. I not very sure if this is the real cause.
This happened to me the first time I assigned a personal ringtone (I started w/ 4.09). It rang a couple of notes, then switched to the default. I have no idea what caused it, but I made all my ringtones AMR-WB's and they work. It probably work's for wav's. I think it has to do w/ buffering (guess). If you're using wav's try one from the internal mem and see if that does anything.

I have an assortment of ringtones - WAV/amb(using nokia MM convertor) and all are on MC and I have FSCaller activated and ringotnes assigned to different peps and groups and all is OK.
Sounds like a 4.09 problemo. ha ha ha 😃

Yeah it might be I don't know since it doesn't happen to me. Only once. Then again, this secure imap stuff is great ha ha ha 😃
Actually nokia could do better for everyone w/ their firmware. Then again their complaints department people are the best 😉
Then again...I did rename my Memory Card to Memory Card (same name) between this happening, but now it's pqi256. Still...worth a shot for those w/ the problem.
I have V 3.42.1 and i have found that ive had a similar issue. On mine it only happens when i assign certain ringtones, most of them work fine. Weird problem, but its never really bothered me much
