How can I file transfer to my Psion?

I have tried to send files between my Psion 7 and my 7650 but they don't recognise each other, they will when I use the 7650 as a modem, is there a different protocol involved? If so can I download something to sort it out?

use PIBeam by PsiLoc..

install this on series 7, activate it then point two machines together and from 7650 send via IR
