Outlook 2003 sync problem - synchronization is stuck in analyzing state

Same here, any help appreciated.

Had a similar problem where the sync process just froze midway and the computer also froze and had to reboot. Narrowed down the problem by syncing only tasks, then calender etc till I found the problem came from syncing the contacts.

The work around that worked was this:
* copy all your contacts to a new folder
* delete all your contacts from the original folder
* move some of the contacts back to the original folder
* do a sync of just the contacts
* repeat the process by moving some more contacts back etc
* eventually all your contacts will be back in the original folder and synced to the P800

This worked for me anyway.

Deleting contacts doesn't work.
The internet connection on my PC stops and the whole PC locks up so I inevitably have to reboot.

What is up?

I would suggest deleting all your notes, contacts, calendar items and tasks in your phone, moving all your outlook notes, contacts, calendar items and tasks to new folders and then syncing to the now empty folders in Outlook. Then, you could try copying some of them back a few at a time and syncing each time until it all works again. Worked for me.

I was "this" close to throwing this phone away and getting a blackberry for this very reason, but figured it out. There is a new pc software suite for the p800/p900 that supports Outlook 2003 on the sonyericsson website under p800 support pages. Uninstall what you got, install this, and things shape up. I went ahead and moved my contacts into a temp folder, and back slowly for good measure per the other guys' advice as well. Good luck....
