Internet Connection through PC via USB or Bluetooth

Hi all!

I am wondering if there is a possibility to access the internet without connecting via GPRS but instead using a PC where i am connected through other means, e.g. USB or Bluetooth. That would be really interesting since while at home I could download my email on the A920 or browse the internet.

Has anybody any idea whether this can be accomplished? Thx for any tip!

Regards

You can hook the phone up via USB and at the same time connect to the net but you must use outlook express. Then you must also use the desktop suite to sync your email to phone. It will copy all that's in your inbox so maybe you'd better reorganise and check what's there 1st
Clumsy but I've done it . your emails will match phone inbox to computer inbox emails when you sync

There is no problem connecting to the internet through the A920 and BT. Just connect to the PC and start browsing 😃

To avoid confusions I'd like to surf the web without ticking MB on the 3 account with a Bluetooth connection to my PC which has a Broadband connection.

Thanks!

Connect to your PC using desktop suite (USB or bluetooth, if you want bluetooth dont forget to go to your control panel and tick the bluetooth option instead of USB option for desktop suite) then press your browser button straight away tap on your browse button and then on disconnect (last option) now tap on open page (top option) and type in where ever you want to go 😊

Happy surfin

PS every now and then it may try to connect via the "3" services if it does just repeat the instructions for disconnecting

Also if you set the phone to airplane mode it will stop trying to connect with the 3 GPRS connection 😊

That will only work with USB, though, not with bluetooth.

Is there a way to get the chatt online without 3 network too? Im using NSM Instant Symbian.

I don't know about Instant Symbian, but Agile Messenger (which is free) works great over USB, BT or IR.
