Dear Valued Customer,

Thank you for contacting Sony Ericsson Online Support.

Yes, the s700 is due to be released during the fourth quarter of this year. Unfortunately, we can not absolutely confirm that. The sync software for the two phones will not conflict. As for the Symbian OS, yes, it is the UIQ.

Best regards,

Subject: Phones

Opinion: S700 Release Date and OS.

Hi,

I have a few questions about the S700. I already am prepared to purchase the phone so your answers will not be a deciding factor whether I change my mind or not.

1) I read that the S700 will be available in 4th Quarter of 2004. Is this definite? December this year?

2) I also read from WorldGSM.ORG that S700/S700i uses Symbian OS v.7. That is the UIQ? Is that correct? There is no technical specification available from the SonyEricsson site so I rely on WorldGSM and Esato.com.

3) I still have the T610. Will the PCSync software for T610 have conflict with the PCSync software of the S700?

Thanks.
